If you're planning a Hill Country wedding, one of your first questions is probably how much a photographer costs. Prices vary a lot, so here is how my pricing works and what to look for when you compare photographers.


My wedding packages

I'm Kylie, a wedding photographer based in Burnet, Texas. My wedding packages start at $1,700.

  • Base, from $1,700: 4 hours of wedding day coverage, one photographer, a professionally edited online gallery, high-res digital downloads, printing rights, and sneak peeks within 72 hours.
  • Middle, from $2,500: 6 hours of coverage, a complimentary engagement session, and sneak peeks within 48 hours, plus everything above.
  • Premium, from $3,200: 8 hours of coverage, a complimentary engagement session, and sneak peeks within 24 hours, plus everything above.

A second photographer can be added to any package.


What affects the price

Hours of coverage matter most. A 4-hour package works for a ceremony and portraits with a smaller celebration. If you want getting-ready photos, the ceremony, portraits and the reception, 6 to 8 hours gives you room without rushing.

A second photographer is worth considering for larger weddings, or if you want two places covered at once, like both partners getting ready.

Engagement photos add value because you get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding. Engagement sessions on their own start at $320, and they are included with my Middle and Premium packages.

Travel is the last piece. I charge a travel fee for weddings farther from Burnet, so include your venue when you ask for a quote.

  • How many hours of coverage are included, and what does an extra hour cost?
  • Will I get high-resolution downloads and printing rights?
  • When will I see sneak peeks, and when is the full gallery delivered?
  • Do you travel, and is there a fee?
  • Is a second photographer available?
